Many families have a piano, but due to its large size and high price, consigning the piano when moving has become a problem that requires attention. Below we share with you the piano moving notes:
(a) If there are restrictions on the long-range by site, the top cover, door, and door chord strokes can be removed. But it is best not to disassemble all parts of the piano, especially important parts are best to be removed by experienced people;
(b) The precision of stamping parts such as wool, felt, leather, and wood is high, and the allowable error is controlled within 1 / 100mm. These parts are sensitive to changes in humidity. High humidity will cause the strings to move slowly, dull sound, rusty metal, and malfunction of the keys. So pay special attention during the process of moving;
(c) When going upstairs, the tilt angle between the piano and the ground must not exceed 70 degrees, and it is strictly prohibited to carry the piano upside down;
(d) Pianos should not be transported in the open air on rainy days. Long-distance moving companies should arrange shipments on sunny days. If you are moving on a rainy day, you should take appropriate measures to prevent rain from happening;
(e) Check whether the rolling heads of the upper and lower doors are jammed during transportation to prevent the paint film of the upper and lower doors from falling and being damaged, and then check whether the rear two handles are firm;
(f) The weight of the piano is generally about 200 kg, and the main weight is on iron plates and strings. Therefore, the center of gravity of the piano is usually at the back, so you must pay attention to it when you carry it to prevent the piano from turning over after thinking.
(g) When the instrument is transported on a flat ground, if the ground is uneven, lift the instrument gently, and push the instrument through the unevenness. Do not push hard to avoid the wheels breaking;
(h) Prevent severe vibration and turbulence during handling;
Upon arrival, the piano must be placed on a hard floor, level, with each wheel completely on the ground.
