In addition to peer competition, private express delivery enterprises also face the situation of e-commerce self-built logistics. As a result, many courier companies have begun to experiment with e-commerce businesses. The mutual penetration of the two industries is also a product of competition.
In addition, FedEx and Uber were among the first companies to receive approval from the State Post Office's 2019 annual express business license annual report. This means that the two foreign giants officially landed in the domestic express market. Although we did not see very strong competitive pressures, we also felt the challenges faced by private express.
In fact, express delivery is an imported product. It is an industry we borrowed from foreign countries. Under the pressure of each other, do private express delivery companies find it difficult? However, many executives of private express delivery companies did not answer this question in an interview with China Railway Express. Negative, they don't think the current situation poses a great threat. In particular, companies like Xitong Yida have established their foothold in the low-end express market to a certain extent.
In the first three quarters, the business volume of private express delivery enterprises accounted for 73.6% of the total express delivery business, an increase of 8 percentage points year-on-year. The business revenue of private express delivery enterprises accounted for 58.5% of the total revenue of the express delivery business, an increase of 11.1 percentage points over the same period last year.
With the explosive growth of e-commerce, private express companies, which account for most of the online shopping express business, have grown rapidly. However, this development trend does not mean that private courier companies can sit back and relax, and there is still much room for improvement in service quality.
